These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Ganesh Rathor ("Developer", "we", "us", "our"), the individual developer of MindLock ("the App", "the Service").
By downloading, installing, creating an account in, or using MindLock in any way, you confirm that:

MindLock is a digital wellness Android application that provides the following services:
Age Requirement: MindLock is available to users who are 13 years of age or older. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 13 years old.
Parental Consent: If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Device Requirements: MindLock requires an Android device running Android 8.0 (API level 26) or higher.
Jurisdiction: MindLock is operated from India. We make no representation that the App is appropriate or available for use in locations outside India. If you access MindLock from outside India, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
You may use MindLock as a guest (local data only) or create an account to sync data across reinstalls. To create an account, you must provide:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree to notify us immediately at supportmindlock@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account credentials secure.
Each user is permitted to maintain one MindLock account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limitations or other restrictions is prohibited.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you:

All payments are processed by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd.) under the merchant name Ganesh Rathor. By making a payment, you agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service available at https://razorpay.com/terms.
Accepted payment methods include UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and net banking, as made available by Razorpay.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). You will be charged through Razorpay before the renewal date. You can view and manage your subscription status from the Razorpay portal.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Razorpay customer portal or by contacting supportmindlock@gmail.com. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which your account reverts to the free plan. No partial refunds are issued for unused days in a billing period.
Our refund policy is as follows:

We will respond within 3 business days. All approved refunds are processed through Razorpay within 5–7 business days.
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days advance notice of any price increases via in-app notification and email. Your existing subscription price will be honoured until the next renewal date after the change takes effect.
Subscription prices shown are inclusive of applicable GST. We are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes under Indian tax law.
MindLock is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on Android devices you own or control.

If you discover a security vulnerability or see someone abusing MindLock, please report it to supportmindlock@gmail.com. We will investigate all reports.
MindLock, including all code, graphics, user interface design, visual assets, features, and content created by us, is owned by Ganesh Rathor and is protected under Indian copyright law and applicable international intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use MindLock on your personal Android device solely for your personal digital wellness purposes, subject to these Terms.
This licence does not include the right to:
Any content you create within MindLock — such as custom category names, intent statements, and session notes — remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this content solely to provide the MindLock service to you.
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about MindLock, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve MindLock without any obligation to compensate you.
MindLock requests the following Android permissions. By using MindLock, you understand these permissions are used only as described:

You may revoke any permission at any time through Android Settings. Revoking core permissions will disable the corresponding features.
MindLock is a tool designed to assist with digital wellness. We do not guarantee that using MindLock will reduce your screen time, improve your attention span, or change your digital habits. Results vary by individual.
While MindLock is designed for Android 8.0+, we cannot guarantee it will function identically on all Android devices. Some device manufacturers (including but not limited to Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, and Vivo) customise Android in ways that may affect how MindLock's accessibility service, background services, or VPN function. If MindLock does not work correctly on your device, contact us at supportmindlock@gmail.com before requesting a refund.
MindLock cannot prevent a determined user from disabling the accessibility service. Strict Lock Mode is designed to increase friction — it cannot physically prevent a highly motivated user from bypassing it. MindLock is a tool for users who genuinely want to reduce screen time, not an unbreakable enforcement system.
MindLock's content filter operates at the DNS level and through browser class-name detection. It cannot block all adult content in all circumstances. New adult domains are created daily and may not be in our blocklist. Users should not rely solely on MindLock for child protection. We recommend using dedicated parental control systems for children's devices.
MindLock's Brain Health Visualization feature is for motivational and informational purposes only. The brain health score is a simplified model based on usage patterns and is not a clinical assessment of cognitive function, mental health, or neurological condition. Nothing in MindLock constitutes medical advice. If you have concerns about your mental health or technology addiction, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
We strive to keep MindLock available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Core blocking features work offline (stored locally). Cloud features (account sync, subscription verification) require internet connectivity.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.
You may stop using MindLock at any time by uninstalling the App. If you have a paid subscription, cancelling your subscription does not automatically uninstall the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to MindLock at any time with or without cause. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any active subscription on a pro-rata basis. If we terminate your account due to a violation of these Terms, no refund will be issued.
Upon termination, your licence to use MindLock ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of MindLock after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable laws of Madhya Pradesh.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at supportmindlock@gmail.com to resolve any dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve it within 15 business days.
Formal Disputes: If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved by the courts having jurisdiction in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, India. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Subscription & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding MindLock.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any translation, the English version shall prevail.
